Why Practice With Healing Colors?
In qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements provide a way of understanding relationships among the body, emotions, seasons, organ systems, and the natural world. Each element is also traditionally associated with a particular color.
This course brings those relationships into meditation. Rather than simply studying Five Element theory, you’ll work with color visualization, breath, attention, and qigong practices to experience these traditional associations in a more personal way.
As you move through the course, you’ll explore the colors connected with each organ system and then expand into practices involving the Six Directions and Five Planets. The result is a fascinating progression from foundational Five Element concepts to deeper traditional qigong meditation practices.
You can take this course on its own, although Qigong Healing Sounds provides a helpful foundation for the Five Element and organ relationships used throughout the lessons.
