Introduction to Spring Qigong. In Chinese culture there is the idea of yin and yang. When you move from winter to spring, you have a transition. Winter is always a time when yin is fullest. The world is calm, still, and cool. As you move into spring, there are the initial stirrings of the yang. You start to see this rising activity of the yang. James uses the analogy of bamboo to teach you how to calmly move from yin to yang energy in your body and your life.
