Yellow River Dance Lesson 1. Practicing the Yellow River Dance qigong allows the body to move in a slow, fluid fashion, which, in turn, allows for greater circulation of both blood and Qi (energy). Perhaps more importantly, the graceful movements of the Yellow River Dance allow you to gather the life-giving energies of nature, the heavens, and earth. On a more scientific level, by practicing the Yellow River Dance movements, you begin to accustom the body to operate in a stress-free mode, by engaging in the parasympathetic mode or “relaxation response.”
