Anudandi Mudra for a Healthy Back. Anudandi means “spine” in Sanskrit and its core quality to prevent and ease back pain relief. When holding this gesture, breath and awareness flow to the entire back – a calm, rhythmic, wavelike motion is felt along the spine, flowing up and down, energetically, to encourage tension to release in the muscles. You will feel greater sense of comfort.
It can be done at any time throughout the day alone or incorporated into a practice focused on posture or breath.
