Yi Qi Kung Exercises 1-18. The entire third series of Liangong movements strengthens your respiratory and cardiovascular health through gentle qigong movements. Well researched for the past 40 years, this third series in the 18 Essential Movements to Do Daily was developed almost a decade after the first two series.

Series three, Yi Qi Kung, was developed to address ongoing health problems stemming from respiratory and cardiovascular weakness. Research at the time showed a strong correlation between healthy lungs (the Lord of Gas – O2 and CO2) and kidneys (the Root of Gas) and heart health. Through reverse abdominal breathing on its own and the same type of breath synchronized with movement, researchers found significant improvements in both the lungs and heart.
