Rupa Mudra for Strong Bones
Part of the Yoga Mudra Challenge — experience how daily guided mudra videos with Dr. Juli Kramer support healing, balance, and inner calm.
Duration: 18 minutes
Meaning and Purpose
Rupa Mudra, the Gesture of Form, supports the health and vitality of your skeletal system. This practice helps strengthen bones, improve circulation, and release muscular tension, cultivating a deep sense of stability and grounding.
This page features a guided video and meditation with Dr. Juli Kramer. You’ll learn how to position the hands, focus the breath, and bring awareness into your bones—nourishing the body from the inside out and restoring calm confidence in every movement.
According to Yoga Journal, mindful movement and gentle energy practices can help maintain bone density and enhance skeletal health.
How to Practice Rupa Mudra
- Sit comfortably with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed.
- Bring the thumbs to touch the tips of the ring fingers; let other fingers extend naturally.
- Rest your hands on your thighs, palms upward.
- Breathe slowly and visualize light moving through your bones—legs, hips, spine, arms—filling them with strength and resilience.
Hold for 10–15 minutes during the guided meditation, or practice on your own to build inner stability.
Healing Focus and Benefits
Rupa Mudra nourishes the skeletal system, improves mineral absorption, and encourages smooth muscular function. It also releases stored tension and emotional rigidity, promoting balance between strength and flexibility. When your bones feel strong, your entire being feels supported—physically and emotionally.
The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health notes that yoga-based practices can improve balance, mobility, and overall bone health.
Integrating into the 15-Day Yoga Mudra Challenge
In the Radiant Shenti Yoga Mudra Challenge, Rupa Mudra opens your journey by establishing a foundation of strength and safety. Practice it whenever you feel unsteady or depleted—it’s your reminder that true stability begins within.
