Garuda Mudra, the Gesture of the Eagle, energizes the thyroid and endocrine system, helping to regulate hormones and enhance vitality. This practice supports balance in metabolism, mood, and energy levels. It also opens the chest and heart area, promoting alertness and emotional clarity.

How to Practice Garuda Mudra

  1. Sit comfortably with a straight spine and relaxed shoulders.
  2. Place your right hand over your left hand, hooking the thumbs together.
  3. Spread the fingers wide, like the wings of an eagle in flight.
  4. Rest the hands over the chest or at the base of the throat.
  5. Inhale deeply, lifting the chest; exhale slowly, releasing tightness from the shoulders and neck.

Hold for 10–15 minutes, or follow along with the guided meditation. In this way, you stimulate energy flow through the throat, where the thyroid gland resides.
